Summary: Purchase a new laptop for the Mapleton Fire Department to keep track of their records.
Purchasing a new laptop for the Mapleton Fire Dept. will help them keep the records current, keep meeting minutes, and report on incidents. By updating the computer, it will make keeping records more efficient and helping them receive the latest technology will benefit the whole community. The current system is out of date, being over 15 years old. They have to send in records to the State of Iowa and the current computer make that very difficult. Keeping the Mapleton Fire Department in compliance with the State of Iowa benefits the whole community.
This project is "Approved". This means that the district leadership has reviewed and approved the allocation of district funds for this project. Once the funds from the district have been issued, the status of the project will be changed to "Paid".
