Summary: Fund an adaptive bicycle for a special needs child in our local county.
There is a small local group of four women who have started "Josh's Ride". It's purpose is to see that every child in our local county with special needs has an opportunity to ride a bicycle. They work at pairing donors with children and help in the process of getting a special adaptive bicycle for that particular child. These bikes are specially built for each child (either 2 or 3 wheels) based on their needs. They may include a steering arm to aid, safety belts, safety brakes, and specialty seats if needed. Prices range from $1250 to $2,000. Since the start of Josh's Ride in 2015, they have helped deliver over 50 bikes.

Reason for dropping: I am sorry to inform you that the District Grant Subcommittee has decided it is unable to fund this grant. We had requests for almost $73,000 in funding and we only have a bit over $45,000 available. The status of this project will be changed to "Dropped"
