Interfaith provides hygiene kits to low-income and homeless individuals and families residing in North San Diego County on a daily basis. Approximately 20 to 40 community members come to Interfaith seeking basic needs support every day, and 10 to 20 of these individuals request hygiene items, which are a significant need for those individuals living on the streets or those who do not have the funds to purchase these items. Funding for hygiene items is very much needed as the supply continually needs to be replenished, and currently Interfaith relies solely on community donations of these items. Funding from the Rancho Bernardo Rotary District Grant will support community members in need, including mothers and children, by providing them with hygiene kits as well as individual items as needed, such as soap, shampoo and conditioner, sanitary items, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, and more.
