Summary: The purpose of the project is to purchase and install new audio equipment for the Lithuanian Museum of Art under community development.


The Lithuanian Museum of Art is Nonprofit organization in Lemont, IL. The Museum's purpose is to archive local Lithuanian artists artwork, to promote young artists and be essential part of Lithuanian art and culture scene in Chicago and the entire US. The Museum is a focal point and destination for Lithuanians from all over the world. It is a gathering spot that promotes unification of culture and youth artistic development. The Museum houses gallery "Soul", Folk art and wood carvings expositions. The museum serves as an Art school and ceramic studio for kids and Concert hall with permanent Art collection. The concert hall hosts has not only concerts, but book introductions, poetry readings, lectures, movies and other. The one of biggest dreams of museums board members is to update concert hall stage with permanent sound and video system. That would help greatly improve quality of our events and would allow for better audio for children's folkloric choral and dance activities. It would give our creative community chance even more appreciate many great performances.

Sound system in plans to be bought and installed in July and August 2019. That will require equipment, mixer, various speakers, cables. Museum's team of volunteers ready to help with all needs for this much needed improvement.
