Project Description Country: USA Location: Greeley Total Budget: $7,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Providing low income students backpacks filled with school supplies for Greeley-Evans School Dristrict 6 This is a city-wide Rotary event where all four clubs are joining forces with contributions toward maximizing the District Grant matching funds thus providing approximately 500 backpacks filled with age appropriate school supplies. These clubs will be participating the day of the event i.e. School Kickoff Community Celebration consisting of information, food and backpacks. The four clubs, Greeley Rotary, Greeley Centennial (including Greeley Satellite Rotary as part of Centennial), Red-Eye Club and the After Hours Club, will provide the help needed to hand out the backpacks along with other sponsors.
