Project Description Country: USA Location: Chicago, IL Total Budget: $1,005 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Community economic development Activity Type: RI Youth Programs (Youth Exchange, RYLA, Rotaract, Interact) Summary: Sponsorship of at least three Chicago high school students to attend RYLA in 2019. This project will fund at minimum three students to attend District 6450's RYLA, to be held October 11-14, 2019 at Holiday Home Camp in Lake Geneva, WI. We are eager for students to participate in activities, discussion, and reflection that will help them develop skills in leadership, conflict resolution, community development, and connection with other students from the Chicago area as well as Youth Exchange students from our district. Through partnership with community organizations and area high schools, we will identify and select students who show leadership skills and the potential to impact their community through service.
