Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Chapala Jalisco, Mexico Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: Scholarships for Technical College in Chapala Jalisco, Mexico The Phoenix 100 Rotary is working with the Rotary Club of Ajijic in Chapala, Jalisco to provide scholarships to qualified students that will be attending the local technical institute Technologio Mario Milina Chapala (TMM) which offers curriculum at the college level in information technology, engineering, business administration, food service management and other programs. TMM has an enrollment of about 1,000 students and serves the surrounding area. Tuition is approximately $150 USD per semester. The Ajijic Rotary Club will identify qualified students who need the scholarship to attend TMM and receive training that will dramatically improve their lives. The scholarships will be awarded during the Rotary Year 2019 - 20.
