The Center for Disease Prevention and Control recommends a yearly flu vaccination as the first and most important step in protecting against flu and it's potentially serious complications. This project would provide flu vaccinations to all the youth of Campbell County, Wyoming. However, students would need to have parental permission and sign up for the shots.
The VIP (Vaccinations for Influenza Prevention) Project will be asking for both financial and in-kind contributions from a partnership of sources; Campbell County Government, Campbell County Health Foundation, Campbell County School District and Gillette Energy Rotary. The mobile "Kid's Clinic Unit will travel to twenty-four schools and clinics to administer the shots. This is year two of Gillette Energy Rotary's involvement in the project.
Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
The amount that the Gillette-Energy Rotary club is entitled to is $3,500.00 from the district and will be matched with $4,000.00 from Gillette Energy Rotary Club.
Total Grant Budget is $7,500.00. The Project Budget below will not allow any changes, so please accept this addendum as the Project Budget.
