Summary: supplements to weekly readers covering science, geography and history for Buckeye Elementary School forgrades K-8
Weekly Readers are grade level appropriate supplying students with reading material concerning worldwide current events for grades K-8 at Buckeye Elementary School, the original elementary school campus. This is a 100% free breakfast and lunch location . In many cases these weekly readers are the only English reading materials in the home. The Grant will be used to purchase supplemental additional materials expand the students knowledge of science, geography, history and math depending on the grade level. The program is estimated to start in August of 2019 Students create note books to store all the weekly readers so they can take home and share with family members. This program is fully supported by administration, teachers and staff. This program has grown from 2 grade levels at Buckeye Elementary to K-8 at 5 additional campuses.
