Project Description Country: USA Location: Cozad, NE Total Budget: $625 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: Services for children at high risk for dental desease and those without heaalthcare access. • Amount Requested: $625.00 • Purpose: Support delivery of professional preventative dental services by Registered Public Health Authorized Dental Hygienists and to obtain necessary outreach education literature and preventative dental service supplies to better serve those receiving services through LifeSmiles Dental Health Program. • Goals: Expand services provided, beyond current preventive dental services, to those at need in the Cozad area. • Impact on Program Services: Service delivery would be expanded to Cozad School children and funds requested would serve 40 children. Preventative dental services would be available for children without the ability to pay for dental services which would result in reducing pain and suffering for many. Latest research supported health education would be able to be offered to program participants as well. Providing OSHA safe care delivery would be secured with purchased disposable supplies. Rotary funding support would support service delivery by Registered Public Health Dental Hygienists and support staff as well as supplies such as (but not limited to) gloves, masks, disposable mirrors, gauze, disinfectant materials, fluoride varnish, sealant material, education literature for care delivery and education as well as take-home care supplies for those served.
