This is a test submission to see how this website works. I am grant subcommittee chair for District 5610. This is an actual project from our club that was funded through a district grant and was completed last weekend.
We will partner with Sage Water International Ministries of Washington, IA to build Chlorine Producing Units (CPU) for distribution to poor regions of the world. The CPUs use regular table salt and a 12 volt power source (such as a car battery) to produce chlorine to use as a disinfectant or to create sanitized drinking water.
Le Mars Rotarians will participate by actually building CPUs for distribution by SWIM to poor regions throughout the world. SWIM will bring their portable assembly line to Le Mars and provide guidance and training to us on how to properly assemble the CPUs.
