Project Description Country: USA Location: Tinley Park-Frankfort Total Budget: $717 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionaries provided to local 3rd grade students Our club works with the Dolton-Riverdale School district 148 in Riverdale, IL. This project provides dictionaries to the 3rd grade students in this school district. We partnered with Barnes & Noble this year for ordering the dictionaries. We order the dictionaries in September, label them in October, with delivery before Thanksgiving. The feedback we have received in the past from the school district has been extremely positive as the dictionary serves as a resource for the students and is often the first book they have received that is theirs to keep.
