Summary: This project will help eliminate barriers to single Arlington parents obtaining childcare necessary for them to gain employment
Arlington currently has 63% of its students who live in an "at-risk" environment and have a parent is a low to no income earner. By partnering with other non-profit, faith based and service organizations, we will provide these parents with the resources to overcome this barrier and provide safe childcare so that parents to gain employment.
Rotarians will plan and implement this Childcare Summit in the Spring of 2019. We will continue to be involved by providing continual short-term support services while parents get on their feet financially.
