Project Description Country: USA Location: Denton TX Total Budget: $8,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: Each year, Denton Rotary Club provides scholarships to local area high school students to defray the high costs of college. The need identified is assistance to graduating seniors of Denton area high schools to help offset the high cost of obtaining a college education. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1000 per year per student to qualified graduating seniors. We plan on providing six (6) scholarships of $1000 each this year. Club members are involved in raising funds for our charitable efforts by our flag program. Club members are also involved with school district officials in identify students deserving of assistance.
