Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Baja California Total Budget: $600 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: Volunteer Services Summary: Thousand Smiles Foundation provides life-saving surgeries and related health care for FREE to underserved children so that they can eat properly, speak normally, be more accepted in their communities to live normal lives. If it is not a duplication of the global grant G-1369, we would like to request funds to purchase items for the siblings of the children who undergo medical treatment. We know the families travel long distances in order to receive medical care. Our club would use the funds to buy arts and crafts supplies to keep the children entertained. We would also purchase and seek donations for additional dental hygiene products - toothbrushes, toothpaste and food.
