Summary: We are going to give out backpacks to local school children (ages 5-18) in the city of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
For the last five years, Rotary Club of Santa Fe Springs along with the City of Santa Fe Springs have donated school supplies and backpacks to children from lower income needy families. Our club works with the City in order to identify children in need and to reach more of them as well. Our goal is to give away 200 backpacks and supplies to school aged youth ages 5-18. Families are screened by the City to verify if they meet the requirements to receive backpacks and supplies. Additional resources from other non profits and local businesses will also be available when the backpacks are distributed.
This project is "Paid". This means that the funds from the district have been issued. This project is now being ready for implementation. When this is done, a report needs to be uploaded on the project page and the "Reported" button needs to be clicked, then the status of the project will be changed to "Reported".
