Project Description Country: USA Location: Whittier Total Budget: $8,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: Dental screenings and oral health education for elementary school students This program will provide oral health and nutrition days at elementary schools in the Whittier City School District during the Spring of 2019 providing free dental screenings, fluoride treatment, oral health and nutrition education, and referral to care to low income elementary age children. Every participant will receive an oral health kit comprised of a toothbrush, tooth paste, floss, timer and educational material (in English or Spanish). It should happen soon. 16-Apr-19 by Owen Newcomer Today, April 16, 2019, the Rotary Club of Whittier in partnership with the Children's Dental Foundation capped several days of oral hygiene instruction for elementary students at Lou Henry Hoover School in Whittier by giving out more than 400 dental kits to students as they left school. On Monday, April 29, we will repeat the program at Lydia Jackson School in Whittier. 2-May-19 by Owen Newcomer Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children wrapped up several days of oral hygiene instruction by the professional from Children's Dental Health Clinic at Lydia Jackson School in Whittier.
