Project Description Country: USA Location: Gilbert Total Budget: $6,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Dictionaries to Gilbert and Mesa Third-graders Gilbert Rotary Club has provided dictionaries to over 32,000 third-graders and wishes to continue that program in the Fall of 2018. The program is very popular with teachers and administrators, the children look forward to receiving their own dictionary and our members enjoy giving a brief Rotary message and handing them out. This year's project will include schools in Mesa following the merger of Mesa East Rotary Club with Gilbert Rotary Club, adding perhaps 700 students to the anticipated 2500 students in the Gilbert school system.
