Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: Volunteer Services

Summary: Updating, upgrading and beautifying a garden at Truscott Elementary School in Loveland, CO.

Loveland Mountain View Rotary Club has built community gardens for area non profits and schools every year for the past several years. This year, the club is going to work with Truscott Elementary School in Loveland, CO on substantial improvements for an existing garden, including a new entry way, construction of new breeze rock, weed resistant pathways, and rebuilding of existing planter boxes.

Previous garden projects have provided local schools a means of educating students about food production, healthy eating, and the benefits of creating a garden. We expect this project to enhance the learning opportunity in these same areas for Truscott Elementary School.
