Project Description Country: USA Location: Buckeye Arizona Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Weekly readers supplied to buckeye elementary school , grades k-8 buckeye AZ The weekly readers start arriving the middle august, the students and teachers love the interactive teaching of world events, history, special places and identification of animals and insects. The older grades have additional guides for science, history and reading. The school is 100 percent free lunch. The reading materials are saved by the students and in many cases are the only reading materials in their homes. The club members visit class rooms during the interactive teaching of the weekly readers. The club is invited to participate in Dr Suess day by reading to classes.
