The mission of the After School Program is to provide a safe,
educational, and fun atmosphere for children to build success in school and life.
The After School Program is a program designed for children that would go home to an
empty house. It is for primarily K - 3rd grade students, but will also accept 4-6 grade
students in need of after school care. The After School Program will be held at the St. Paul
Public Schools Learning Center, formerly the Heritage building at 920 Jackson St. The
hours will be Monday-Friday 3:30-5:30 p.m. When there is an early dismissal on
Wednesdays the hours will be 2:00-5:30 p.m. The program concludes every day at 5:30
p.m.
Funding through the St. Paul Rotary Club will provide approximately %22 of the programs 2018-2019 budget. Funds will be used to help cover the cost of healthy snacks, milk and supplies. Overall funding for the program is mainly funded by donations from participating families.
The fiscal agent for the After School Program is the City of St. Paul Recreation Department. St. Paul Public School provides the space and day-to-day oversight of the program.
St. Paul Rotary members do and will continue to volunteer their time to insure a continued successful program.
