Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Baja Total Budget: $2,250 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: Repais and hands-on improvements to Rotary Tijuana Clinic established in 1986 by Tijuana Rotary Club in Baja Mexico. The beneficiaries are the Tijuana community at large (people from 10-25 & 25-60 years of age). About 300 people will be receiving monthly medical treatments,Triage and general consultation for health problems. The lower section of the building will be set-up for medical use. The second floor will be dedicated to conduct "Dental Clinic Day" "Aids awareness", health and educational seminars. Also, for the Tijuana Rotary to have a functional room for meetings & general Rotary business. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) The project has been modify to repair the roof of a school instead of the Clinic. The expense is the same and the project remains the same. The object is to repair the roof of the building offering it's use to regular education programs(children between 13-16 of age)and also offers the facility for education in health programs. (pictures are attached).
