Summary: Our project is to provide school supplies and nutritional snacks for homeless students in the Nampa School District

There are approximately 1200 homeless students in the Nampa School District. These students lack the resources to purchase the school supplies that are required for them to perform in the classroom. Our Club will be purchasing and packaging school supplies for Middle School students to be distributed prior to the start of the school year. We will also be purchasing and packaging nutritious snacks for distributing prior to the 2019 spring break.

The first objective of the Club's District Grant was achieved on Tuesday August 14th when the Club assembled 100 school supply kits which were distributed to homeless students in the Nampa School District. We used $902.45 of the grant to purchase pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, colored pencils, glue sticks, hi-lighters, kleenex, loose leaf paper and composition notebooks.

The second objective of our District Grant will be completed March 19, 2019 when we will purchase items to be used to assemble snack kits to be distributed to homeless students.
